Chances are, you’re busy. In fact, how do you even have time to watch this video or read this text? Your to-do list may seem like it’s a mile long. When we feel like there’s always so much work to do, it’s easy to get so focussed on the daily toil that we miss all the amazing things that are going on around us. In this video, speaker and best-selling author Francis Chan asks you to Just Stop and Think.
It’s like missing the forest for the trees. Just stop and think about the fact that right now you’re standing on a giant ball that’s spinning at a thousand miles an hour! And while it’s spinning, it’s flying around the sun at 67,000 miles an hour! That’s crazy, but we just walk around, ho-hum.
If you imagine your life as a movie, could it be that you’re missing the best parts? And when you stop to think about it, this movie, this story that you’re part of, it really isn’t all about you. From start to finish, this movie is obviously about God.
Francis Chan puts it this way in the video: “The whole message of the Bible is not about this God in Heaven who wants to take from you. It’s about this God who wants to give to you. And if you miss out on that, you’re gonna miss the whole point of your life.”

Who is in your corner: Take a minute to reflect on the people who really care about you. Have you told them recently what they mean to you ?? Many people find it hard to talk about their feelings but what is there to fear. How can you grow an amazing life if your emotions live in a prison ?? Live life in the moment and speak from your heart…it will set you free. Embrace those who love you and they will have your back for every step you take.

Darwin Awards

Probably not a proper video for thos blog,
but here is 2011 Darwin Awards...lol

Why is this precious little flower called the Forget-me-Not ??

Perhaps it is because even though it is small and may seem insignficant to some, it has a beauty worth noticing. Each of us may no matter how quiet, simple or solitary our lives may be are not forgotten by One that knows us all and values each.

Sometimes we get caught up in what isn't going our way in what isn't right. There if we linger too long we stop from seeing the fact. There is more milk and there are more cookies. So figure out how to clean up the mess and get more or continue to waste this moment upset over what is. Do something about what can be or what will be. If you don't you will just get more of what is, spilled milk.

It's about how you take the hit

This motivational speech is from the movie Rocky Balboa.
It's about believing in yourself. If you watched the previous Rocky movies, then you know how motivational this movie can be. As he says in the video, it's not about how hard you get hit. It's about how you take the hit.
Life will throw you a lot of hits. This can be physical or mental. Challenges or setbacks will be plentiful throughout your life. The people who are able to rise up and surpass everyone else are the ones who know how to handle these hits. How will you react the next time you are knocked down? Will you complain about it? Will you stay down or will you get back up and get ready for another hit? The choice you make will determine the outcome of your life.

Las Vegas - Queen

But it’s been no bed of roses. No pleasure cruise – I consider it a challenge before the whole human race. And I ain’t gonna lose. - Queen

No matter what life throws at us, we have the choice to give in or to dig in and refuse to lose.

Queen’s We Will Rock You | We Are the Champions is an anthem that proclaims our determination to keep moving – to keep rocking, in spite of what’s in our way.

We Will Rock You - We Are the Champions !!

Motivational Speech

Will Smith's motivational speech about possibility to his son in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness...Many times we will be told by other people that we can't do something...It can come from people who know nothing about you, strangers on the street, but, it can also come from people who you respect and love...When this happens, realize that although they are probably just looking out for you, they are really saying you can't do something because either they are looking at the person you are today and judging your capabilities from that or they are saying that because it's not possible for themselves...
You must realize that who you have demonstrated up until today will have little to do with who you can become a year from today...You can fail your whole life and still turn it all around by next year...As for people saying you can't do something because they can't do it themselves, realize that they aren't you...Your determination and resolve alone will help you overcome the limitations that they were never able to...When that time comes where you have achieved that goal you have set out to get, you will help those around you realize that perhaps it's also possible for them...

The Peacock

"Peacocks Rule"
Have you ever stopped to think about the peacock ??
He doesn’t look like other birds.
He doesn’t act like other birds.
He doesn’t put on a facade or try to hide who he is, though. In fact, he downright celebrates it !! Each day is a holiday for a peacock because he wakes up as himself. His self confidence, pride, and even arrogance make him one of of the most beautiful things on earth. He doesn’t just accept his originality. He doesn’t just embrace his originality. He struts his originality. Man, I love that...

I think Dr. Seuss said it best:
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”- Dr. Seuss

..."GIVE"...

We cannot GIVE what we do not possess.
We cannot LOVE effectively,
especially if we're drawing from a depleted well.
We cannot COMFORT completely.., especially if our own hearts are in need of a touch.
We cannot LAUGH effectually with one another, if every smile we make is painful.
We cannot RECEIVE what we haven't learn to give.
We cannot accept JOY, if all we give away is grief.
We cannot accept PEACE, if all we know is chaos.
I know in my heart, it's time for us to do what we've never done, to achieve what we've never achieved.., but in order to receive this new level, this new life....
We must be willing to Give up those ideas, ideals, habits and attitudes that are of no benefit to us anymore.
Remember, We cannot RECEIVE, 'till We're willing to GIVE."

Ride out the storm

Life can be a turbulent ride and, just like once we are airborne, there may be nothing we can do but ride out the storm. When this happens we can be stressed out, nervous or even afraid, but that won’t make the bumps go away. The other choice is to decide, this is where I am, it won’t last forever, and maybe the bumpy ride is worth the final destination.

* "ADJUSTMENTS" *

 * "ADJUSTMENTS" *...."Just keep living and you'll soon have to make adjustments...
little changes to your dreams and aspirations...
compromises to your intentions and desires...

tweaks to who you will fall in love with.., or not.
For those that stand rigid, they will be broken into a million little pieces
of despair and hopelessness..,
so become supple and pliable in your understanding that making minor ADJUSTMENTS
is just Life."

Live life to the fullest

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no ...guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

In life you are going to encounter many obstacles. You may fall, you may just barely make it, or you just may soar over the hurdles. Realize, with every jump.. and even every attempt, you will gain more strength, more wisdom, more courage, and more drive. Don't ever let obstacles get in your way of life, because they are after all, a part of life itself. One day, if not already, you are going to be grateful for the things that have stoof in your way, keep on keepin' on.

“To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacles.”

The hardest thing to do is to get started. In order to motivate yourself, think positive, be productive, accomplish, and get ahead, you have to GET STARTED! When we get started, we begin to focus. The more we focus & do, the more we accomplish, & the more we inspire & motivate "ourselves"! And, the busier we are, the less time we have to focus on negative or doubt. So make up your mind & get started on something positive or productive. Start doing, doing, doing, till you become focused, motivated, and on a roll! Start the engine and you'll enter the positive cycle of doing, accomplishing, & positive thinking.

Doobie Brothers - Listen To The Music 1972

The idea of this song was that music would lift man up to a higher plane, and that world leaders, if they were able to sit down on some big grassy knoll where the sun was shining and hear music - such as the type I was playing - would figure out that everybody had more in common than they had not in common, and it was certainly not worth getting in such a bad state of affairs about. Everybody in the world would therefore benefit from this point of view. Just basically that music would make everything better.

Here’s to the crazy ones

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify and vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as crazy, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

We all pursue something…
Throughout the seasons of life, we churn through cycles of pursuit. Whether fame and power, peace and abundance, fun and pleasure, or healing and forgiveness, we actively seek something at every phase of existence.
Often, we enter dry periods, where paying the mortgage is more important than contemplating the meaning of being - where self-sufficiency is more focal than selfless reflection.
And then it happens…
At some point in life, we catch a glimpse of the miraculous… maybe the mysterious. We contemplate our earthly origin or we grapple with our eternal destiny.
It could be the birth of a child, the death of a loved one, or a devastating divorce.
It could be the vision of a starving child
digging through trash in a street-bound slum ****
It could be the vision of a heroic soldier saving a child
from the chaos of a street-side bomb ****
It could be a massive, star-filled sky…or a tiny hummingbird hovering nearby.
It may strike as a monumental epiphany, or it may sneak up as an inconsequential flash.
Regardless, it happens, and the deep questions of life return – if just for an instant. A passion to pursue ultimate purpose, meaning, and truth are re-ignited in our soul !!
Who am I, really ?
Why am I really here ?
Where will I really be in 10,000 years ?
And, most importantly, where does God fit into all of this ?
Who is God, really… and how do I really pursue Him ?
Throughout the seasons of history, all of humanity has faced this same cycle of perplexity. Whether great thinkers or everyday peasants, our ancestors have all confronted the mystery of God. Some meet God and immediately walk away. Some meet God and embrace Him eternally. Some go forward with pursuing a relationship, while others retreat from possible engagement.
Yes, we all pursue something…
